In 2016, SnatchBot launched a bot-building platform that provides all the necessary tools for creating, hosting, and monitoring conversational chatbots. Our platform is designed to target businesses, rather than developers, and by doing so we’ve made it as easy as possible to build a bot.

Although the bot industry is still developing, it’s evolving rapidly; 2016 saw many established tech giants like Microsoft, Cisco and Facebook trending towards bots, and was rife with bot-building start-ups emerging—though many of them still in beta and not yet available to the general public.

SnatchBot as hit the ground running, the strength of our platform in arevolutionary approach that blends the smartest ML (machine-learning) and AI (artificial intelligence) technologies with peerless conversational design. We believe that our approach will withstand the initial market hype around chatbots and sustain SnatchBot as a strong competitor in the as-of-yet uncertain future of bots.

A brief history of SnatchBot

Though chatbot technology has been around for some time, it’s only been in the past year or so that it’s emerged as a dominant tech trend. Bots are now a part of every major messaging app in the market, from enterprise messaging platforms like Slack to OTT consumer apps like Facebook Messenger.

Israeli-based SnatchBot provides a platform for creating, hosting and managing chatbots. Our managing director, Henri Ben Ezra, founded the company in 2015, his experience including several years of experience in telecom and CRM industries. SnatchBot is a privately-owned, privately-funded company with more than ten full-time employees. We have not taken any venture funding, and we have no plans to do so in the near future.

SnatchBot is part of a wave of start-ups that emerged in the first half of 2016, focused on developing bot-building tools for enterprises. Initially, we began as a workflow tool, but by mid-2015 we realized the potential of bots and transitioned to what is now the SnatchBot platform.

Though it’s still early in the development process, we’re already seeing significant advancements with use cases in a variety of industries for enterprise/consumer engagement, as well as employee interaction.

Platform

The SnatchBot platform was developed with an approach of “no coding required,” which means that we target brand managers, sales departments, lines of business and tech-savvy digital managers, rather than just developers and IT.

We consider one of the key strengths of our platform to be omni-channel capabilities that allow bots to work across multiple platforms in a similar manner. This cross-platform functionality also includes monitoring tools to track a bot’s performance in real time.

SnatchBot offers a number of integrations, including but not limited to Twitter, 365, Salesforce, Trello, and Twilio. We also support a multitude of different languages, from Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Russian to Dutch, French, German, Italian, and more.

Strategy

Our key verticals are government services, finance, healthcare, retail and utilities, though we’re seeing use cases come to light across many industries. We’ve created bots for some of the world's biggest brands, including Veolia,Interactive FX, Tata Computers Limited, NEOPOST, Fabco Automotive Corporation and more.

SnatchBot is considered a general platform, rather than a niche, because it covers such a variety of use cases. We support both B2C (business-to-consumer) and B2B (business-to-business) bots, and the platform can support complex bots as well as simple automation.

Initially SnatchBot has targeted companies in Europe in the US, but we’ve also gained significant traction with enterprises in other parts of the world, as far as eastern Asia; though we’re headquartered in Israel, our client base is global, and we’re seeing more use cases emerge daily—including brand marketing, conversational commerce, and workflow improvement, to name a few.

Competitors

SnatchBot has come to the market with a strong background in CRM (customer relations management), ML (machine-learning) and AI (artificial intelligence) technologies. Our competitive landscape is fairly vast, including not only other bot-building framework companies but also providers of NLP (natural language processing) services.
